During last week’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the hiring of Mr. David Kastrup as the new Activities Director/Assistant Principal at Seckman High School, effective July 1, 2025. The Board also approved Mrs. Beth Griffin to be the Director of Professional Development for the Fox C-6 School District, also effective on July 1, 2025.

Mr. Kastrup currently serves as a Building Level Administrator and the Activities Director at McCluer High School. Prior to becoming the Activities Director in 2017, Kastrup served in multiple roles, including eight years as a Career and Technical Education Teacher. Mr. Kastrup also has eleven years worth of coaching experience at McCluer North, which includes time with the girls track and field team, as well as football teams from freshmen through varsity. Mr. Kastrup has earned an Associates of Arts in Teacher Education degree from St. Louis Community College, a B.S. in physical education from Lindenwood University, a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University, and a Education Specialist in Educational Leadership - Superintendency degree, also from Arkansas State.

Mrs. Griffin currently serves as the K-5 Title I Reading Specialist at Meramec Heights Elementary, a position she has excelled in since 2015. Prior to her time at Meramec Heights, Griffin was a third grade teacher within the Mehlville School District for nine years. Mrs. Griffin earned a B.S. in Education from Southeast Missouri State, a Master of Education Degree from Lindenwood University, and she is currently completing her Master of Arts in Educational Administration Degree from Southwest Baptist University. Griffin was named the Meramec Heights Teacher of the Year for 2023-2024, the Fox C-6 School District Teacher of the Year for 2023-2024, and a St. Louis Regional Teacher of the Year for 2024.
