Winter Weather Update - January 9, 2025

January 9, 2025

Dear Fox C-6 Families and Staff,

First of all, I want to take a moment to thank our staff members and families. We understand that inclement weather can disrupt schedules and routines, and we appreciate your patience and understanding throughout the week.

Over the last several days, we have made every effort to inform you of snow days and AMI days as early as we possibly can. I value the importance of being able to make family plans so that work and learning are being done as efficiently as possible.

As we have communicated this week, the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. While we are hopeful to be back in school tomorrow, we are monitoring the progress of the newest winter storm that is projected to affect our area later this evening. As a reminder, if we are back in session tomorrow, it is a scheduled early dismissal day. For a detailed list of early dismissal times for each building, click here

Tomorrow morning, myself and other district administrators will be driving the roads of the district at 3 AM to assess driving conditions. This assessment will help us make an informed decision regarding the operation of our schools. At 4:15 AM, I will participate in a conference call with area superintendents to discuss the storm and its potential impact on our region. The insights gained from this call will assist our district in determining the best course of action for our students and staff.

Please know that we are committed to communicating any updates or decisions as soon as possible. We will send out another communication shortly following the call with area superintendents to inform you that we will be having an AMI day. If you do not hear from us, that means that school will be in session. In the meantime, please stay safe and warm.

Sincerely,

Dr. Paul Fregeau

Superintendent

Fox C-6 School District
