During Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the hiring of the following administrative positions, effective July 1, 2025: Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Nathan Burch has been named the new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the district. Mr. Burch is no stranger to the Fox C-6 District, serving as a teacher at Lone Dell for nine years, followed by two years as the Assistant Principal at Clyde Hamrick. In the time since, he has been the building principal at Bierbaum Elementary in the Mehlville District, and the building principal at Claymont Elementary in the Parkway School District. Dr. Burch earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University, an M.S. in Educational Administration from Missouri Baptist, and most recently, an EDD in Educational Leadership and Superintendency from Maryville University. Dr. Burch will be replacing Dr. Kelly Bracht who is retiring at the end of the year, after spending the last ten years as the Assistant Superintendent of HR for Fox C-6.
Mr. Tracy Schmidt has been named Chief Operating Officer for the district. Mr. Schmidt currently serves as the Activities Director and Assistant Principal at Seckman High School, where he has been since 2022. Before joining Fox C-6, Mr Schmidt was an Athletic/Activities Director in the Hazelwood School District. Additionally, he has 14 years of experience as a teacher and 20 years as a coach in several school districts around the region, as well as three years as a college basketball coach at Stetson University in Florida, and five years as a college baseball coach at Maryville University. Mr. Schmidt earned a B.S. in Business Administration, a B.A. in History, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Maryville University. In addition, he also earned an M.A in Educational Administration and an Ed S in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University. Mr. Schmidt has also acquired a Missouri Administrators and Superintendent certification, as well as a Certified Athletic Administration certificate. The Chief Operating Officer position is a newly created role that replaces the Chief Financial Officer position. This position will oversee the finance, transportation, food service, maintenance, and athletics/activities departments. Additionally, this role will oversee the district’s safety and security program.
Please help us congratulate these individuals on their new roles.
Respectfully,
Dr. Paul Fregeau
