Anime Club
Description:
Mondays in room 702, until 3:10. Stylized cartoons, watch shows, perform games, exchange Japanese comic books, etc.

Description:

Captain’s Council
Description:
Meets during AcLab. Athletes from all sports programs coming together to find ways to improve the academic/athletic area.Tuesdays until 3:30 in room 126. OPEN to all students.

Description:
Meets once a month. It is a team of student leaders that are trained and prepared for a disaster or an emergency at the school.

Description:

Description:

Description:

Description:

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Description:
Meets3rd Tuesday of each Month at 2:15 pm in Room 109 and on Zoom. A business organization that is open to all students interested in pursuing a business or business-related career.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
Description:
(S)FCA (Students for Christ/Fellowship of Christian Athletes)
Student-led, non-denominational, faith-based organization on campus. Weekly meetings are held on campus during non-instructional time. This can be before school, during lunch periods, after school, after practice, in the evening, etc. (They occasionally can be held off-campus).

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
Description:
Group for current & former FACS students who work on family-focused community service projects while building leadership skills. Meets on the first Thursday of each month in room 313.

Gateway to Change (G2C)
Description:
This was created after the tragic events unfolded in Ferguson as a unique approach to help young people have courageous conversations about the racial divide in St. Louis and then create a plan to affect positive change. Meetings/field trips will consist of multiple experiential activities over several sessions to grow a deeper understanding of oppression and privilege. Coordinated through Character Plus, our goal is to inspire students to be true change agents within their school and community. Starts in November.

Description:
Competitive mathematics team, normally 6 competitive meets during the year and state competition; weekly practices. This year we will seek online/virtual math contests.

National Honor Society
Description:
Eligible students must have a 3.6 or higher GPA and an interest in community service. Students participate in community service projects throughout the school and the community.

Robotics Club/Technology Student Association
Description:
Compete in FIRST Tech Challenge. Grow food with the assistance of computers, build and compete in VEX Robotics and other Technology events. Robotics will meet in Freeman’s room on Fridays. Other elements of TSA will meet in Sigette’s room every day of the week. TSA is a very diverse organization that includes game design, robotics, debate, and video production. There is a personalized niche for just about everyone.

Description:
Meets every other week (Even hour day Wed or Thurs) after school 2:15-3:15 in room 401. A Peer-to-Peer prevention program to teach teenagers about the dangers of drugs, distracted driving, drinking, and teen suicide.

Speech & Debate
Description:
Meets every Tuesday from 2:10-3:10 in Room 115. A place to practice and hone solo performance for competition. Students have the opportunity to compete in several different events from storytelling, duet acting, and can even perform humorous monologues. The focus of this group is to be better speakers, better young professionals, and learn more about speaking and debating! This group works in tandem with the Theatre Troupe to produce a competition One Act and Reader’s Theatre Play. Theatre Troupe
Description:
Meets several times each week according to a custom rehearsal/work schedule after school. The FHS Theatre Troupe produces a Full-Length Play, a Musical, and competition pieces: One Act and Reader’s Theatre Play in cooperation with the Speech & Debate Team. Activities include acting, carpentry, singing, painting, dancing, and working with lighting and sound equipment. Actors must audition to be cast in performances, Technicians volunteer but try out for running crew positions. Contact Mr. Samuel Meyer for Information.

Tri-M Music Honor Society
Description:
The Tri-M (Modern Music Makers) Music Honor Society® is a program of NAfME which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. The FHS Tri-M Chapter (#5232) requirements include
1.An active member in a Fox High School music performing ensemble,
2. 40 hours of volunteer musicianship service to be completed throughout high school (approved by a music supervisor),
3. Attend at least 1 meeting/month
4. Complete a written petition/essay on why they should be a music honor graduate during their senior year.

TSA: Technology Student Association
Description:
Meets every other Monday, beginning September 12. The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); members apply and integrate these concepts through co-curricular activities, competitions, and related programs. Work on programming skills, robotics, and just have fun using technology.

Description:

Writing Group
Description:
Every Wednesday in 702 from 2:10 to 3:10. Writing ideas, story sharing, participation in National Novel Writer’s Month each November (ywp.nanowrimo.org), local and national writing and poetry competitions, lock-in each semester.

Yearbook
Description:
Yearbook meets daily 6th hour as the Mass Media class, and participants will be required to attend after-school activities and sports events to get pictures and conduct research and interviews. Editors also hold after-school meetings and work sessions every Monday. Students work together to create the Fox Hako Yearbook. Students develop skills in photography, design, Photoshop, Illustrator, interviewing, business management, sales and marketing, and writing.
