Fox C-6 Invites Community to Learn About a Potential Zero-Tax-Rate-Increase Bond Issue
Fox C-6 is exploring a potential zero-tax-rate increase bond issue for the April 2026 ballot to address critical facility needs and safety upgrades throughout our school district. This bond would not increase the current tax rate. It would be used to fund essential projects, including new roofs, HVAC systems, and parking lot repairs, as well as additional safety initiatives.
To help the community learn more, we are hosting a series of Community Learning Sessions this October and November. This is your opportunity to hear details about our facility needs and provide input on how to prioritize these improvements.
What to expect at a session
Community Learning: Attendees will hear an update on district facilities and learn about the maintenance needs of district facilities. District leaders will also share a prospective timeline for a potential ballot initiative in April of 2026.
Community Input: Attendees will have an opportunity to share their input on how the district should prioritize facility improvements and safety needs. While there will not be a formal open comment or Q&A session at these meetings, the priorities outlined by community members will help the district to shape potential ballot language, project lists, and timelines.
All four learning sessions will have the same presentation, and community members are invited to attend the meeting that is most convenient for them.
Following the community learning sessions, the district will send a survey to all community members to gather additional input regarding priorities for a potential zero-tax-rate increase bond initiative.
We hope to see you there! Your participation is vital as we work together to ensure our schools continue to meet the needs of our students, staff, and community.
