Fox C-6 Offers Multiple Childcare Options for District Families

Did you know that Fox C-6 has a variety of childcare programs for families in the district to take advantage of? Our Character Kids Club (CKC) is a wonderful resource for families with students in school to use as childcare, both before and after school. During the summer, we have the CKC Summer Camp, which is four weeks of fun and learning. Separately, we have Building Blocks, which is our preschool program that is offered to children from ages 3-5 who live in our district. Additionally, we offer a Leadership Program for Middle School Students over the summer. Registration is open now for CKC, Building Blocks, and the Leadership Program for the summer 2025 and 2025-2026 school year, and registration for the 2025 CKC Summer Camp opens on April 14. We have more information on each program below!

Welcome to Building Blocks Preschool, the Fox C-6 School District’s preschool program!

At Building Blocks, we focus on kindergarten readiness by providing a nurturing and engaging environment where children can explore, grow, and succeed with HighScope Curriculum, a DESE-approved early childhood framework designed to foster independence, confidence, and active learning. Through hands-on experiences, children develop key skills in literacy, social interaction, problem-solving, and creative expression. We also incorporate:

Fundations – Teaching letter-sound associations and letter formation.
Heggerty – Building pre-reading and phonemic awareness skills.

Our Building Blocks staff are dedicated teachers who have specialized training in early childhood education and undergo ongoing professional development. All staff members are CPR and First Aid certified, background-checked, and committed to creating a safe, positive learning experience for your child.
