On Tuesday night, the Board of Education approved hiring Kaila Odenwald as the next Director of Food Service for the Fox C-6 School District, effective July 1, 2024. Mrs. Odenwald will replace Gail Jones, who recently announced her retirement. Before being approved for hire by the Board of Education, Mrs. Odenwald underwent a rigorous interview process, including a panel interview with various district stakeholders and a final interview with Dr. Fregeau and members of the administrative cabinet.

Mrs. Odenwald brings a variety of experiences to this role. Most recently, she has served as the Interim Director of Food Service since February. Before that, she served for four years as the District’s Assistant Director of Food Service. Additionally, she spent five years as a dietitian for various organizations. Mrs. Odenwald is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Lindenwood University.
