Dr. Dustin Bain Named New Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education

{March 20, 2024} Arnold, MO –On Tuesday night, the Board of Education approved hiring Dr. Dustin Bain as the next Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education for the Fox C-6 School District, effective July 1, 2024. Dr. Bain will replace Dr. Randy Gilman, who recently announced his retirement. In the coming weeks and months, Dr. Bain will work closely with Dr. Gilman to ensure a smooth transition upon Dr. Gilman’s retirement. Before being approved for hire by the Board of Education, Dr. Bain underwent a rigorous interview process, including a panel interview with various district stakeholders and a final interview with Dr. Fregeau and the administrative cabinet.


Dr. Bain currently serves as the building principal of Meramec Heights Elementary, where he has been since 2015. Prior to that role, Dr. Bain was an assistant principal in the Rockwood School District for three years and a 5th grade teacher for six years. Dr. Bain received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southwest Baptist University, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Maryville University. Additionally, Dr. Bain is a proud graduate of Seckman High School and a resident of the Fox C-6 community.

He has an exceptional ability to build relationships with staff, students, and community members that will benefit the district,” said Dr. Paul Fregeau, Fox C-6 Superintendent. “Additionally, Dr. Bain’s ability to develop and implement a vision for success positioned him as the ideal candidate for the Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools role.”
