MICHELLE STOKES NAMED 2021-2022 FOX C-6 DISTRICT TEACHER OF THE YEAR
{April 25, 2022} ARNOLD, MO –The Fox C-6 School District congratulates Mrs. Michelle Stokes of Seckman Middle School for being named the 2021-2022 Fox C-6 District Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Stokes has been an educator for 14 years and currently teaches middle school social studies at Seckman Middle. In addition to teaching, Michelle is an active member of the Seckman Middle School Community and co-sponsors the Seckman Middle School Character Council. As a co-sponsor of Character Council, Michelle strives to engage the entire Seckman Middle School community in school events.
“The most important thing to know about Mrs. Stokes is her ability to build relationships with her students,” said Seckman Middle Principal Courtney Meagher. “Everything she does during the school day is student centered.”
To become a building Teacher of the Year, and to qualify for the District honor, teachers must be nominated by a fellow teacher, administrator, parent, or student. They must then complete a comprehensive application process to demonstrate excellence both inside and outside the classroom.
“Selecting a District Teacher of the Year from our pool of dedicated, thoughtful educators is extremely difficult,” said Superintendent Dr. Paul. Fregeau, “I cannot express how thankful I am for each and every one of our staff members who make countless sacrifices to better the lives of students. We have phenomenal staff here. A special congratulations to Michelle for representing our district as our District Teacher of the Year! Thank you to all of our community members for nominating teachers for this honor.”
Mrs. Stokes will now have the chance to represent the District as a St. Louis Regional Teacher of the Year.
