Summer School Resources

Character Kids Club: 6:15 am-summer school begins/dismissal until 6:15 pm

Character Kids Club (CKC) is the district's before- and after-school child care program.  During summer school, CKC operates at designated locations to provide families with reliable child care options.

• Morning care: 6:15 am - school start time
• Afternoon care: Summer school dismissal - 6:15 pm

CKC Summer School Registration

• Registration Opens: March 30, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
• Registration Closes: May 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

Registration is completed through our child care platform, Arux. Please note that some sites may reach capacity prior to the registration deadline.
Families may also use Arux to register for CKC for the 2026–2027 school year.
 

Important information

• Students attending summer school at Meramec Elementary (ESY) who are registered and eligible for CKC will be transported to the Sherwood CKC location for care.
• CKC will be offered at Seckman Middle School for eligible students (those entering 5th and 6th grade).

Please be aware that Fox C-6 will offer limited bus service for K-8 Summer School students.  Bus service will be provided from designated bulk pickup and drop-off locations only for students enrolled in K-8 Summer School. 

The chart below is intended for families of K-8 summer school students. It details students' home schools, summer school locations, and the designated bulk pick-up/drop-off site (if any) for each home school.

Breakfast and lunch will be offered to all students enrolled in K-12 summer school and the K-12 ESY.

Meal Prices

Breakfast: $1.95
Lunch K-4 & ESY: $3.45
Lunch Middle School and High School: $3.55

Those who already qualify for the free and reduced meal application in the 2025-2026 school year will continue to qualify during summer school. Those who have not yet completed an application or are new to enrollment are strongly encouraged to submit a free and reduced-price meal application online through the Infinite Campus Portal.  To learn more about the free and reduced-price meal applications, visit the Nutrition Services section of the District website.
