Summer care 2026 for your Building Blocks child!

“Wee Ones” day camp for 2026-2027 enrolled Building Blocks children

 Expected start date of June 1-June 26 and July 6-30, with the program closed on June 19, and closed from June 29-July 3

Description: Wee Ones is a day camp for registered Building Blocks Pre-K students. This program offers care from 6:45am-5:30pm, with the structured camp activities between 8:00am-3:30pm each day. The camp is supervised by Building Blocks teachers, aides, and CKC staff. It is expected to operate from June 1-June 26 and July 6-30, with the program closed on June 19, and closed from June 29-July 3. Your child must be 3 years of age by February 28, 2026, and completely potty-trained to participate. Camp opportunities will be offered at Don Early Early Childhood Center (849 Jeffco Blvd) in June and at Simpson Elementary (3585 Vogel Rd.)  in July.

• A maximum of 40 Building Blocks students will be allowed to participate
• Registration will be taken in the order received

Time: Monday –Friday 6:45am-5:30pm (camp activities begin each day at 8:00am and conclude at 3:30pm with supervised free play before 8:00am and after 3:30pm).

Location: JUNE: Don Earl Early Childhood Center; JULY: Simpson Elementary

Cost: $180.00 per week 

Camp day: Included will be age appropriate activities from arts and crafts, outside water fun, gym games, guest speakers, and peer classroom activities. The pre-school campers will remain at the camp location and have rest time each day. They will not be transported anywhere.

What to Bring to Camp Each Day: To help your child have a comfortable and successful day at Wee Ones, please ensure they arrive with all of the following items every day:

• Nap Blanket – A small blanket for rest time.
   
• Two Snacks – One for the morning and one for the afternoon.
   
• Lunch – Please pack a nutritious lunch each day.
   
• Water Bottle – Filled and labeled with your child’s name; it will be refilled as needed.
   
• Towel – Used for outdoor water play, spills, or other activities.
   
• Change of Clothes – Include a full set: shirt, shorts/pants, underwear, socks, and shoes.
   
  • Please keep this set in a labeled bag and replace items as they are used.

Bringing these items each day helps ensure your child is comfortable, prepared, and ready for all of our fun camp activities. 

Requirements: Our department must have at least 10 children per week registered to operate. A registration deadline for Wee Ones will be Friday, May 15, 2026, or when full, whichever comes first. All participants will be notified by email confirmation at the time of registration that their child is either registered for the weeks selected or placed on a waitlist. Space is limited to 40 spots per week and taken in the order received, so early registration is encouraged. 

Your child must be completely potty-trained to attend Wee Ones.

Camp balances must be paid by auto draft on your ARUX account and will be drafted the Friday before the week of care. There are no credits for days missed during registered weeks of camp. If you must cancel a week of care, it must be done in advance to avoid charges. Failure to notify the CKC/Building Blocks office before the charges are invoiced the Wednesday for the following week, will result in a non-refundable week of tuition.

 

If your child is currently enrolled in Building Blocks and is starting kindergarten in August of 2026 then they are not eligible for Wee Ones camp. They are eligible for the district’s summer school program in June, and Character Kids Club camp options in July.
